About Us

In 1995, William Vis was the production manager of Precision Feeds when he began operation of Envirotech Controllers Ltd. as a division of Precision Feeds with one employee. Envirotech Ag Systems Limited was formed in 1998 with the merger of the equipment division of Feed-Rite Ltd. and Envirotech Controllers Ltd.

Envirotech currently has a staff of 15 employees, with about five people committed to the service department, and sales in excess of $6 million per year by providing innovative and superior products and service to the local and national agricultural community.  A U.S. sales network with over 40 Hutterite colonies in Montana, Minnesota and North and South Dakota also developed as the Envirotech reputation spread.

Envirotech is in the business of providing equipment and building solutions for livestock producers.  Over 170 livestock confinement systems for hogs and poultry have been developed by Envirotech over the last 11 years.  We can create a hog or poultry feeding, watering and/or ventilation system to suit each client’s individual needs and preferences.  We provide turn-key solutions including design and assistance with environmental permits to supply a completely finished facility, as well as supervision of equipment installers and trades people required for turn-key construction.  Envirotech carries a large inventory on all lines that it supplies, and we service what we sell with a full installation department available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Envirotech prides itself on its design capabilities.  By meeting with the customer we can lay out the proper animal flow, as well as provide room for the most efficient equipment layout, something that is not usually considered until too far along in the project.

We are proud of developing cutting edge technology for use in hog and poultry production systems.  Some of our accomplishments include the development of the first PLC-based multi-ration feed system with a Windows™-based interface, as well as the first dual-ventilated turkey finisher barn in the northern U.S. using curtains, chimney fans and microprocessor-based control.  Our latest innovation is the chimney-transition tunnel concept for broilers and turkeys using chimney fans and wall inlets for conventional ventilation, and tunnel doors and fans for maximum ventilation in hot weather.
