Poultry Production - Controls

Controls

The F38 poultry computer is an efficient control for ventilation, heating, lighting and feeding that is simple to operate and individualize.  It contains:

  • Extensive combi control with programmable variable groups and 16 ventilation stages

  • Six air inlet controls

  • One tunnel inlet control

  • Six heating controls and two cooling controls

  • Eight temperature sensor

  • Measurement and control of relative humidity, under-pressure, CO2 and ammonia

  • One water clock and one feed clock with registration

  • Feed and water curve, registration and dosing

  • Eight light clocks with settable light intensity

  • Eight time clocks for various applications

  • Eight registration groups

  • OptiSec energy saving heating control

  • EasyFeed feed control

Big Dutchman

The MC 235 is a climate computer that can be used in one or two-room operations and controls the entire house climate: temperature, humidity, cooling and wetting.

Controls

EPC 1500

The EPC 1500 is a 10-stage control that is primarily used in power-ventilated hog and poultry barns. In addition to controlling temperature through a combination of variable or fixed fans and inlets, it also features heat control (fixed or variable), time clocks (including foggers), separate heat control of creep areas, growth curves for temperature (separate for room and creep) and minimum ventilation. The control also features automatic control of minimum ventilation with humidity influence and uses outside temperature influence to override high temperature alarms and inlet movement.

EPC 1600

The EPC 1600 control is largely used with chimney or wall fans for minimum/inter-mediate ventilation and tunnel ventilation systems for summer ventilation in poultry, dairy or hog barns.  In addition to controlling temperature through a combination of variable fans and inlets, it will also switch to tunnel ventilation using outside temperature influence.  The EPC 1600 has a two-stage tunnel system for both the tunnel intake door and the tunnel fans.  Tunnel ventilation is engaged when outside conditions are suitable for tunnel and a temperature offset from set point is reached.  At this point all conventional ventilation is shut down: ceiling or wall intakes close and wall or chimney ventilation shuts off when the tunnel fans start and intake doors open.  In large rooms where there are multiple controls the EPC 1600 will also give a control signal to shut down the conventional ventilation controls, as well.  The EPC 1600 also features time clocks (including foggers), growth curves for temperature and minimum ventilation.  The control also features automatic control of minimum ventilation with humidity influence and uses outside temperature influence to override high temperature alarms and inlet movement.

Slaves available for the EPC line of controls:

 SL-10-1 to SL-10-3

These variable triac slaves feature 0 to 10 VDC control input and may be used in either 115 V or 240 V output. They are rated at 8 amps each and feature independent trimming for the output vs. input voltage. The SL-10-1 is one slave in a polycarbonate enclosure while the SL-10-2 and SL-10-3 are grouped in larger enclosures. Each slave is independently fused.

EVS-100

This inlet slave is 0-10 VDC input representing 0 to 100% position for actuators that have potentiometer feedback (10K ohms/10 turns from full open to full close). The unit features two 10 amp relays (fused) for open and close, operation at either 115V or 240V and is available with an optional 24VDC power source for operation of satellite-style actuators.

NM24SRUS

These rotary actuators feature 0-10 VDC input representing 0 to 100% for 0 to 90o from fully closed to fully open. They require a 24 V AC/DC power supply. They are available in three different torque outputs: 35, 75 and 133 lb. These actuators are ideal for controlling four-way mixing valves in variable heating applications.
