Your animals perform better in a good climate
Your results depend on the climate in your animal buildings. The right climate is beneficial to the growth and health of your animals and saves you costs for feed, water and energy. Precisely why Fancom develops and produces climate controllers, air inlet systems, fans and chimneys. A complete package to create the ideal climate in each situation

Proven concepts answer your computerization needs
Fancom enjoys an excellent reputation as a supplier of total computerized systems to the agricultural sector. The emphasis at Fancom has never before been so intensely concentrated on concept-based thinking as in this age. We strive to offer our customers a total system as the answer to all their requirements for computerization and automated systems. Proven systems with clear benefits which offer an interesting return on investment.

Controls

The EMC 2000 is our latest offering in the Envirotech line of ventilation controls.  It is specifically designed for our new frequency-controlled air measuring system.  It features an all-stainless steel watertight enclosure that houses all the electronics to control the frequency drive, the air measuring control unit, the main controller, as well as all peripheral relays.  It can also be optioned with all-three phase, which includes the combo contactor overload for up to eight fans.  The EMC 2000 is capable of controlling up to an additional eight relays, for a total of 16 relays, two variable triacs (8 amp), two 0-10 volt DC outputs (an additional two 0-10 VDC outputs can be ordered in lieu of the triacs) and one inlet control.

A measuring fan system can maintain a constant and accurate ventilation rate, with increased efficiency at fan speeds lower than 100%.  By using a three phase frequency control and a measuring fan this system provides increased efficiency over triac-based controls, due to the greater effectiveness of invertors over triacs.

The EMC 2000 is user-friendly, with displays showing desired ventilation rate, actual fan speed and direction, and sensor speed and direction.  The system allows the user to accurately control fan speeds down to 5%.

The EPC 1100 is a six-stage control that is primarily used in power-ventilated hog and poultry barns. In addition to controlling temperature through a combination of variable and fixed fans and inlets, it also features heat control (fixed or variable), time clocks (including foggers), separate heat control of creep areas, growth curves for temperature (separate for room and creep) and minimum ventilation. The control also allows automatic control of minimum ventilation with humidity influence and uses outside temperature influence to override high temperature alarms and inlet movement.

The EPC 1500 is a ten-stage control that is primarily used in power ventilated hog and poultry barns. In addition to controlling temperature through a combination of variable and fixed fans and inlets, it also features heat control (fixed or variable), time clocks (including foggers), growth curves for temperature and minimum ventilation. The control also allows automatic control of minimum ventilation with humidity influence and uses outside temperature influence to override high temperature alarms and inlet movement.  The EPC 1500 is also capable of operating curtains in combination with power ventilation for pit fan applications.

The EPC 1700 control is primarily used with combination chimney or wall fans for minimum ventilation and curtains for naturally ventilated poultry or hog barns. In addition to controlling temperature through a combination of variable fans and inlets, it will also switch to natural ventilation using outside temperature influence. The EPC 1700 is unique in using potentiometer feedback and temperature bandwidths to control the curtains.  It also features time clocks (including foggers) and growth curves for temperature, humidity and minimum ventilation. The control also allows automatic control of minimum ventilation with humidity influence and uses outside temperature influence to override high temperature alarms and inlet movement.

Slaves available for the EPC line of controls

SL-10-1 to SL-10-3

These variable triac slaves feature 0-10 VDC control input and may be used in either 115 V or 240 V output.  They are rated at 8 amps each and feature independent trimming for the output vs. input voltage.  The SL-10-1 is one slave in a polycarbonate enclosure while the SL-10-2 and SL-10-3 are grouped in larger enclosures.  Each slave is independently fused, as well.

EVS-100

This inlet slave has 0-10 VDC input representing 0 to 100 % position for actuators that have potentiometer feedback (10K ohms/10 turns from full open to full close).  The unit features two 10 amp relays (fused) for open and close, operation at either 115 V or 240 V and is available with an optional 24 VDC power source for operation of satellite-style actuators.

LN-SN 24 SR

These rotary actuators feature 0-10 VDC input representing 0 to 100% for 0 to 90 degrees from fully closed to fully open.  They require a 24 V AC/DC power supply.  They are available in three different torque outputs: 35, 75 and 133 lb.  These actuators are ideal for controlling 4-way mixing valves in variable heating applications.

Envision Software Version 5.0

"Envision" is a Windows 2000 and Xp interface to operate the controls from a central computer.  It features the ability to operate each control on an individual basis, as well as scanning all zones for a quick overview of status and temperature.

Datascope is a data logging feature which can scan a single control or group of controls for any of the following information:

  • Datascope (allows logging of room temperature over time for graphing)
  • Temperature (desired and actual)
  • Humidity
  • Fan speed
  • Inlet position
  • Offset rate
  • Relay status, etc.

Alarm Scan scans all of the controls for the following user-defined alarms:

  • High / low temperature
  • Power / communication failure
  • Inlet failure

Report Alarms uses a voice modem and autodialing software to call a user-defined call list and in a voice tells the user the alarm condition. The user can then acknowledged the alarm with a security code using a touch tone phone.

Voice Alarm allows the computer to call multiple users for high / low temperature alarms, communication faults and any alarm conditions that are present.  It  can also use this computer to run Pig Champ and includes communication wiring of controls to a central location.

Minimum System Requirements: Pentium II 266 32 MB RAM 3.4 GIG hard drive c/w 1 modem and 1 fax data modem sound card, speakers, Windows XP & RS 232/485 serial port converter & adapter & Envision 1.2 software (allows user to set & view controls from computer)
